Agriculture is prevalent in Missaukee County, and while it may be found across the county, it is primarily situated south of M-55. Livestock accounts for a substantial portion of farm revenue, and massive dairy farms on the county’s southern border grow row crops for silage. Deadstream Swamp is the largest traditional deer yarding area in the Northern Lower Peninsula of Michigan.
The deer population looks to have risen during the last five years, attributed to a series of warmer winters and a sustained decline in hunter numbers. Whitetail deer, grouse, bear, ducks, turkey, and geese are among the game species available for hunting along the farm land, vacant land, waterfront, and hunting land for sale by Michigan Whitetail Properties in Missaukee County, Michigan.
